Rhiannon Merritt

Rhiannon leads our membership activity across the Highlands and Islands region.

She brings strong industry experience, having worked directly on many of the same challenges faced by our members. Passionate about supporting sustainable economic growth in Scotland, she focuses on delivering practical industry-led solutions.

With a broad background including tourism, transport and energy, she is particularly committed to joined-up working, helping to connect organisations, create opportunities and address shared challenges.

Outside of work, Rhiannon enjoys travelling and exploring rural communities. She has spent time with many rural groups across the world, an experience that continues to shape her perspective and approach to place-based development.
