Cross-border rail connectivity is vital to Scotland’s economy, supporting business, jobs, freight and sustainable growth. Yet Scotland risks falling behind other UK city regions without a clear plan to improve journey times and capacity between the Central Belt and London.

We call on both the UK and Scottish Governments to work together on a coherent investment strategy that strengthens cross-border rail as part of the transition to net zero and a more prosperous economic future.
