Our response is broadly supportive, while raising some concerns, and highlighting other actions, such as on resources and public inquiries, as having greater potential benefits. We support removing the automatic trigger for a public inquiry caused by an objection from a planning authority, limiting the scope of inquiries to the actual grounds for the objection and setting a timeframe for the inquiries and subsequent decisions.
