Our Annual Report 2022/23 highlights how we continued to work towards our aim of being the home of purposeful organisations and amplifying the voice of our members. Highlights include:

  • 2000 members attended over 40 events
  • Our Young Engineering and Science Clubs worked with 233 Scottish schools
  • Commitment from Scottish Government to take forward priority actions from Business Purpose Commission.
  • Natural Capital Report made the case for an investment vehicle to bridge the funding gap for the natural environment by attracting greater private investment
  • Policy Mission to Brussels

SCDI’s purpose and governance remain unchanged but our new trading name Prosper marks an exciting new chapter for us. Whilst the introduction of a new name will take a bit of getting used to for those with a long association with SCDI, we have always aimed to evolve in line with new challenges and opportunities and our new look and name has been positively received by our members and stakeholders.

In the year ahead, we look forward to working with our members and both governments to seize the opportunities and overcome the barriers to a prosperous Scotland.

“Prosper members bring different perspectives on what makes a strong economy, but they share an understanding that it cannot be separated from social and environmental wellbeing.”

Joanna Boag-Thomson, Chair, Prosper (SCDI)
