Coastal Communities across the Highlands and Islands have shown their resilience in recovering from the pandemic and dealing with the recent economic challenges of skills shortages and rising costs, whilst showing the way in tackling a range of longer-term challenges including climate change. This award is open to businesses and organisations who have played a positive role in supporting coastal communities to survive and thrive during the most challenging of times, whether through creating new employment and economic opportunities, delivering regeneration and sustainable development, protecting biodiversity or connecting communities.
