Impact of Brexit on SCDI members

The UK’s transition period with the EU ended as 2021 began, with new rules trade, travel and business coming into force from 1 January.

This SCDI briefing summarises the key impacts to date on our members across the private, public and third sectors, as well as some of the likely impacts for the Scottish economy in the longer-term. It outlines challenges across the three major themes of:

• Goods & services
• Labour, people & communities
• Capital, investment & infrastructure

We will continue to raise these issues with the UK Government and the Scottish Government and look forward to working with them to mitigate or resolve our members’ concerns in an effective and timely way.
