The urgent need to tackle the global climate crisis means that Prosper is committed to supporting all efforts to tackle the emergency both here in Scotland and beyond.
Many of Scotland’s businesses and industries are already recognised around the world for their innovative approaches to environmental and economic sustainability, but we believe that Scotland has the potential to position itself as a world leader in truly sustainable business.
Championing cross-sector collaborative working towards Scotland’s goal to reach Net Zero by 2045 is a priority for us. Our Clean Growth Group is informed by representatives from across our diverse membership, and aims to respond and rise to the pressing challenges, both domestic and international, presented by climate change.
Our Building Scotland’s Green Recovery report showcases 12 big ideas to rebuild our economy better, and greener.
Our Manifesto for Clean Growth identified 7 Clean Growth opportunities for industry, energy, transport, places, people, finance and nature and 21 priority actions to maximise them. Many of these were reflected in the Scottish Government’s Climate change plan 2018–2032.
Our 5 Easy Steps to Net Zero and a nature-rich future developed in partnership with Scotland’s Nature Agency, Nature Scot was developed with small businesses in mind. This work includes video case studies of successful businesses who have made the change.
Our Innovation Critical: Scotland’s Net Zero Mission and Climate Tech Opportunity report highlights Scotland’s potential to be a leading innovator and exporter of tech solutions to tackle the climate emergency and makes 10 recommendations to help achieve net zero by 2045.
