You’ll have the opportunity to hear from and question high profile speakers from across the entire spectrum of Scottish society, and beyond.

insight and inspiration

Crucially, our events provide an environment from which the potential to influence change can flourish. Prosper’s events programme will help you gain a better understanding of what matters right now in Scotland, but also let you hear about what’s coming down the line. Opportunities for learning are myriad too, offering insight and inspiration about how you might apply innovative working to your own business or organisation.

We think the value offered by all of our events is second to none, and we pride ourselves on the quality. Our members agree – lots of them come time and again, and feedback and satisfaction rating always score highly.

Our annual programme features our three flagship events plus a further 30 regional events, held all over Scotland and also online.

Forum is Prosper’s must-attend annual event. With its focus on economic development, it’s truly cross-sector, a place where the best minds in the economy gather under one roof to share knowledge, innovative approaches and ideas, and build powerful connections.

Our annual Forum focuses on the big and emerging themes, those pressing economic factors facing Scotland now and into the future. With a line up of national and international speakers, Forum seeks to inspire positive change through constructive dialogue and transformational public-private partnerships.

Annual Lecture

Prosper’s Annual Lecture has featured inspirational, leading speakers from industry every year since 2004. A highlight of our events calendar, our Annual Lecture provides in-depth focus on a topical theme, and the opportunity for delegates to network with a truly diverse cross section of our membership base.

2024’s guest speaker was Salman Malik, CEO of Veri Energy (EnQuest Plc), who reflected on the importance of energy transition and reinforced that we are at a defining moment in our climate history and the role that Scotland can play in achieving Net Zero ambitions.  Previous stellar speakers have included Ken Gilmartin, CEO of Wood, Louise Kingham of bp UK, Chris Stark, CEO of the Climate Change Commission and Dame Ann Dowling of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Highlands & Islands Business Excellence Awards

Our annual Highlands and Islands Business Excellence Awards are specifically designed to celebrate the successes of our friends in the Highlands and on our island communities. Every year the very best of the Highlands and Islands’ business community line up in the hope of picking up one of Prosper’s prestigious awards.

A glamorous, fun event which always sells out, the Awards is a true celebration of the huge, diverse range of businesses operating in Scotland’s islands and Highlands communities.
