Prosper directly shapes government and industry thinking and action by sharing our members’ views and experiences.

Houses of Parliament and Big Ben

Prosper’s collective influence reaches into the corridors of power, both in Scotland and at Westminster, and with businesses large and small.

All levels of Scottish society

Prosper represents our membership at all levels of Scottish society – we sit on task forces, climate groups and trade bodies, and contribute directly to the development of national strategy.

We gather information and a range of perspectives via our regional and policy Committees and sector specific working groups. We also gather critical input via calls for evidence, surveys, regular round table sessions, semi-structured conversations and adhoc groups. This data-gathering can have a big impact. Over many, many years Prosper members have contributed to formal government consultations, helping to shape decisions about tax, public spending, regulation and net zero.

When opportunities arise to contribute to consultations, we encourage our members to participate via our Live Consultations and surveys page.

Prosper believes that building dynamic and mutually beneficial partnerships is critical for delivering impact.
