Highlands & Islands Committee

Prosper’s determination to address issues of concern to the Highlands, and encourage industry there, led to the formation of the Highland Industrial Committee in 1955 and subsequently the establishment of a permanent office in Inverness in 1965.

Prosper has always had an aim of supporting a strong and vibrant economy for the Highlands & Islands, and a commitment to the growth and development of the region. Prosper works closely with a range of businesses and organisations in the region looking at core issues and objectives to develop and grow the region. Prosper occupies a unique space within the Highlands and Islands economy as our membership has a broad sectoral and geographic base across the region.
