12:00pm

Research still shows that women are underrepresented in key decision-making positions in Scotland. This event will give the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders an insight into what it takes to become a purposeful leader.

We will be joined by two Scottish senior leaders, Caroline Colliston, Executive Partner for Scotland for global legal firm DWF and Rhona Allison, Managing Director of Productivity and Business Growth, Scottish Enterprise.

They will share their own experiences of rising to the top in their industries, what skills they needed to get there and their words of wisdom for ambitious future leaders.

Caroline Colliston, DWF

Caroline has led DWF in Scotland through a period of significant change and presides over a successful and growing business with an enviable client base. In 2022, she oversaw the move to new premises in Edinburgh to ensure the delivery of an environment conducive to productive work, and to motivate an engaged workforce that remain committed to our ESG strategy and commitments.

As well as heading up a busy Tax practice in Scotland, Caroline is a fantastic leadership role model. She is a huge advocate for social mobility, women in the law and the tax profession as well as a very proactive member of DWF’s Diversity and Inclusion leadership team, co-leading our gender strand globally.

Rhona Allison, Scottish Enterprise

Rhona leads Scottish Enterprise’s support services to those growth companies that drive Scotland’s innovation, investment, productivity and exporting performance. She sets and drives our focus and engagement with businesses of all sizes in Scotland. Her functional responsibilities include SE’s customer service, specialist and account management services to business, and grant funding operations.

She works in close collaboration and partnership with other business support delivery organisations to enable further economic growth and development in Scotland. She chairs the Business Support Partnership Programme, a commitment from Scotland’s enterprise and skills agencies, Business Gateway, Local Government and the Scottish Government to co-develop and implement a partnership-first approach to delivering solutions & services to businesses, and to develop a more streamlined business support system.
