Having been with TAQA UK since 2007, Sandy will share his unique insights into the journey the company has been on. He will look back at 2023 performance and the plans for this year and beyond as TAQA UK continues to deliver excellence in late life operations and decommissioning. Collaboration with their supply chain has been key to their success, how they have done this and future decommissioning opportunities will be explored, along with how TAQA UK has successfully brought it’s people on the journey.

About Sandy

Sandy Hutchison joined TAQA UK in 2007. Leading the Legal, Commercial and Business Services directorate since 2014, he is responsible for a range of functions including legal, commercial, business development, contracts & procurement, logistics, warehouse & inventory and IT. As part of the UK Leadership Team, a company director and company secretary, Sandy has been instrumental in the TAQA UK’s journey of growth and transformation, followed by its present-day focus on late-life operations and decommissioning. Prior to TAQA UK, Sandy was Senior Legal Advisor at Talisman Energy, having started his career in the Energy and Corporate Practice of leading international law firm CMS, working in their Aberdeen and London Offices. Sandy is a qualified solicitor in Scotland and in England & Wales, and is a member of the Institute of Directors. In addition, he has completed the Oxford University (Saïd Business School) Advanced Management and Leadership Programme.
