Prosper is delighted to be joined by eminent political scientist and Britain’s foremost pollster, Professor Sir John Curtice.

Hosted by Sally Magnusson, Professor Sir John will speak about the forthcoming general election, the issues that are likely to be the focus of any campaign and the implications for Scotland of any change in the political landscape at Westminster.

Sir John Curtice is Senior Research Fellow at NatCen, Professor of Politics at Strathclyde University, and Chief Commentator on the What UK Thinks: EU and What Scotland Thinks websites.

He has been a regular contributor to the British Social Attitudes Report series since 1986 and an editor since 1994. He has also been a Co-Director of the Scottish Social Attitudes survey since its foundation in 1999, and his analyses of Scottish public opinion in the run up to the independence referendum were frequently featured throughout the campaigns.

In 2018, he received a knighthood in the New Year’s Honours list.

Sir John is a regular media commentator on both British and Scottish politics. He is also President of the British Polling Council.

Sally Magnusson is a Scottish writer and broadcaster. She began her career at The Scotsman before moving to the BBC, notably as a long-serving presenter of BBC Scotland’s Reporting Scotland news programme. She has worked on a range of programmes, including BBC Breakfast Time, BBC 2’s The Daily PoliticsPanorama and Songs of Praise. She is the founder and chair of Playlist for Life, a charity that encourages access to personalised music on iPods for people with dementia.
