Harness the power of local economic growth through innovative procurement approaches

Are you interested in harnessing the power of local economic growth through innovative procurement approaches?

We will discuss how procurement can be used in Community Wealth Building to create sustainable local economies that attract long-term investments. Community Wealth Building is based on five pillars, which include the promotion of progressive procurement of goods and services through dense local supply chains of businesses who support local employment and want to retain wealth locally.

Speakers

  • Alastair Dobson, Managing Director of Taste or Arran and Arran Diaries and Chair of the Ayrshire Regional Economic Strategy Working Group will share ideas about how procurement could be made simple.
  • Bryce Cunningham, Change Maker and Director at the award winning Mossgiel Farm will talk about his experiences, including challenges and opportunities, of public procurement in a Community Wealth Building local area.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and shape the conversation around ideas and issues important to you.
