Technologies like conversational AI and generative AI are set to transform the way businesses operate and engage with customers.
In this session, Caroline Laurenson, MD TL Tech Smart Home Solutions will share the experiences of a small business and how they have successfully (and sometimes not so successfully) embraced technology to open up new ways of working, including creating voice accessible knowledge bases and voice cloning.
A key benefit of AI, and in particular voice or conversation-based solutions, is their accessibility for end users. However, there are also environmental and ethical considerations. Attendees will leave inspired by real examples of AI driving value and armed with practical tips to harness AI ethically and effectively in their organisation.

Caroline is the MD of TL Tech, a smart home specialist based in Aberdeenshire. TL Tech supports people to maintain their independence in their own homes and are passionate about breaking down barriers to help people access technology and digital solutions. In 2020, TL Tech branched out into developing voice applications for Amazon Alexa, including their award-winning app called Kindspace and a voice accessible community services directory called My Scottish Community.
