Explore how gender and equality barriers affect hiring, progression and retention, and the practical steps businesses are taking.

In this online session, we’ll explore common barriers that affect recruitment, progression and retention, particularly those arising from gender inequality and broader equality issues, and how businesses are taking practical steps to address them.

Lindsey Millen, Head of Policy and Development at Close the Gap will draw on real examples, and introduce their free Think Business, Think Equality tool that helps employers identify issues and take action to build stronger, more inclusive workplaces.

Lindsey Millen is Head of Policy and Development at Close the Gap, Scotland’s expert organisation on women’s equality in the workplace. She leads work with employers and policymakers to drive action on gender equality at work, including the development of practical tools and guidance to support businesses. Lindsey has extensive experience in policy development, employer engagement, and equality law, and works closely with organisations across the public and private sectors, including SMEs, to help translate equality commitments into meaningful workplace change.
