Call for Evidence on the new EU-UK Trade & Cooperation Agreement

SCDI’s International Business Committee (IBC) is examining the impact on the Scottish economy of the new economic partnership between the UK and the EU as the 1st anniversary of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) nears – with a view to proposing practical solutions to key challenges.

The IBC plans to report to the UK and Scottish governments in early 2022 on the following areas:

• Market Access
  • Trade in services
  • Trade in goods
• Movement of People
  • Labour market
  • Travel
• Education and Research
• UK Internal Market
  • UK Internal Market Act
  • Northern Ireland Protocol
• Maintaining engagement and influence on EU laws, regulations and policies

The IBC is gathering evidence from businesses and organisations about the impact of the TCA and related UK Government policies and would be very grateful if you would complete this survey.

The main purpose will be to suggest deliverable actions to improve trade and cooperation.
